Grow

Grow (2017) is a project about acceptance and hope, even in the darkest moments. The figure bears a hole in their chest — a representation of the emptiness and numbness brought by depression — yet it is through that same hole that light shines, illuminating a solitary flower before them. In the shadow, the emptiness is transformed: it becomes the flower itself, a quiet symbol of hope and growth.
This piece marked a turning point in both my personal and artistic journey. It was the first time I explored a more poetic and surreal tone, where I began to discover my own voice as an artist. Grow is, in many ways, my personal flower — blooming gently through a difficult time.
